Soap-in-a-Sweater

A five ounce ball of shea butter soap (scents change according to availability) with a colorful hand-felted New Zealand wool covering that doubles as an pleasantly scrubby exfoliating washcloth. Multi-colored (no two are alike), they are roughly between a tennis ball and baseball in size.

Eye Pillows

I sew these using fine Indonesian batik cloth, filled with 8 oz of organic flax seeds, the 100% cotton eye pillow has a removable, washable outer cover. It can be chilled for sore, tired eyes or warmed gently in the microwave.

Neck Coolers

The beautiful Indonesian batik colors and designs provide a very practical means of staying cool on hot days or during exercise. Soak the neck cooler in clean cool water and the gel crystals swell; ties loosely around the neck, evaporation creates a cooling sensation. Dry between uses, reusable, lasts for years.

Shaving Bowls

The beautiful, well-made bowls pictured here are made for us by a local potter. They feature a raised swirl on the bottom to anchor the soap and etched designs on the inside to provide some friction with your brush to help build lather. There's a dip in the rim that functions as a thumb-hold. There is some natural variation in size but if you want to put your soap in them, the bowls will hold a 3" puck of soap with an inch or so of space above the puck. They are available in assorted glazes that render each one unique. These are a hand-made item so please email [email protected] to know what colors are in stock.

Baseball Soap

For the baseball fan who has everything except any baseball games to watch...here is the perfect gift: a baseball soap scented with ballpark nostalgia. A 5.5 oz ball of long-lasting 20% shea butter soap, carefully wrapped in a uniform layer of pure wool, felted, and finally hand-stitched. The scent is a blend of leather, oak wood, dirt and grass fragrances. Wet the ball, rub it and lather up! Wipe off the excess lather and store it where it can drain well. Wool is naturally mildew resistant and dries quickly. Beer and hot dogs not included. Play ball!
